Whether you’re out for a day ride or you’re touring, cycling in the Brecon Beacons captures the spirit and pulls you into its atmospheric folds. This is a land of imposing, rolling mountains, dense conifer forests, verdant farmland and rushing rivers. Riding in this national park is open to everyone, from the littlest of legs in search of flat family trails to proud wearers of the polka-dot jersey.
There are four ranges of hills and mountains you can explore via cycle routes in the Brecons Beacons, from the western Black Mountain all the way to the, err, Black Mountains in the east. These similarly named ranges are separated by the upland, pastoral region of Fforest Fawr and the Brecon Beacons themselves, giving you endless valleys, winding roads and hills to pedal past.
From Brecon to Abergavenny, beautiful Welsh settlements will fulfill your every need, be it snacks or snoozes.
